Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient individual to join our team as an Associate Business Analyst / Business Analyst on a contractual basis. This role encompasses two key responsibilities:
- Technical/API Integration Support: The candidate will work on setting up integrations, managing webhooks, APIs, SFTP servers, and other integration methods. This includes handling data authentication protocols and ensuring seamless API integration and testing with shortlisted platforms in collaboration with development and product teams.
- Software Catalog Creation and Data Management: The role also involves collecting, structuring, and maintaining software product data for our internal catalog. This includes conducting detailed research, ensuring data accuracy, and adhering to formatting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical/API Integration Support:
- Implement and manage integrations using APIs, webhooks, SFTP, and other tools.
- Authenticate API requests with methods such as OAuth 2.0, API keys, and token-based authentication.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to analyze API documentation and identify endpoints aligned with business use cases.
- Draft comprehensive API integration specifications and user requirement documents.
- Test and validate APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, and similar platforms.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and provide resolution support.
Software Catalog Creation and Data Management:
- Conduct in-depth online research to gather accurate and current information on software products and platforms.
- Structure and format the collected data in predefined templates (e.g., CSV files) for internal use.
- Maintain and update the software catalog using internal tools, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to catalog standards.
- Regularly audit the catalog for consistency and quality, addressing any discrepancies proactively.
Collaboration & Documentation:
- Partner with product teams to understand and document use cases and integration requirements.
- Communicate effectively with developers, ensuring alignment on API-related deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including API specifications, test cases, integration workflows, and catalog guidelines.
- Share regular progress updates with stakeholders, highlighting achievements and addressing potential roadblocks.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with API integrations, webhooks, SFTP servers, and JSON data structures.
- Proficiency in using tools such as Postman, Swagger, and API testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with authentication protocols, including OAuth 2.0, API keys, and basic authentication.
- Basic understanding of HTML, RESTful web services, and HTTP methods.
- Experience with data entry and management tools, especially for CSV-based workflows.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with cross-functional teams.
Desired Qualifications:
- Holding a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field or having technical experience
- Prior experience with API integration, data management, or software catalog creation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with software products, SaaS platforms, or IT infrastructure is a plus.
- Knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana is beneficial.
Expected Deliverables:
- A structured, comprehensive software catalog completed as per set deliverables dates
- Successfully implemented API integrations, meeting project objectives and timelines.
- Documentation of integration workflows and catalog guidelines for future reference.
Opportunity Type:
- Short-term contractual role (6 to 12 months) with a possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent position based on performance.
- On-site working arrangements only, aligning with company requirements.
