About 7Vals
7Vals is a collective of passionate innovators and builders, applying best practices to ensure awesomeness. We build disruptive enterprise software products used by Netflix, NBC Universal, Disney, John Deere, BBC, and more. We’re now developing the next generation of products for IT Departments across IT Asset Management, IT Service Management, Security & Patch Management, and CMDB combining strong technical foundations with modern automation and AI capabilities.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Product Manager to help build IT solutions across Asset Management (HAM/SAM), Patch & Security, CMDB, and IT Operations workflows. This role focuses on designing workflow systems used by IT teams to track devices, manage software, secure environments, resolve issues, and maintain accurate configuration data.
You’ll collaborate with senior PMs and engineering to design features that include automations, AI copilots, autonomous AI, and technology breakthroughs. You don’t need deep expertise in ITSM/ITAM or AI but you should enjoy understanding technical systems, infrastructure, data flows, and how IT teams actually work.
This is an excellent role for someone who loves building workflow solutions and technical products, thrives in ambiguity, and wants to grow into more advanced AI and IT product areas.
Who You Are
- Lightning-fast executor: Bias toward action, momentum, and learning. Uses AI tools and technical exploration to accelerate research, prototyping, and decision-making.
- Master problem-solver: Breaks down complex or ambiguous problems into clear subcomponents, hypotheses, rapid experiments, and creative, high-impact solutions.
- Customer-obsessed: Digs into customer pain points, needs, and delighters; investigates how IT teams work; watches workflows closely - and translates these insights into product decisions.
- Technology enthusiast: Enjoys technical systems: APIs, data models, workflows, integrations, actions, and the mechanics of how IT actually runs. Learns new domains (ITAM, Patch, CMDB) quickly.
- Outcome owner: Pursues the outcome results, not just the delivery. Cares deeply about delivering solutions that hold up in real IT environments. Pushes for quality in workflow logic, edge cases, data integrity, reliability, and UX.
Key Responsibilities
-
Build IT Solutions
- Design and deliver IT solutions such as hardware/software asset workflows, patching flows, configuration data models, lifecycle states, and operational dashboards.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into actionable specifications
- Ensure features are intuitive, reliable, and aligned with real IT processes.
-
Support Workflow, Automation, and AI Enhancements
- Work with senior PMs to integrate automations, copilots, and agentic workflows into IT products.
- Participate in testing AI-assisted features such as recommendations, automated actions, knowledge lookups, and remediation suggestions.
- Ensure automation is safe, predictable, and adds measurable value to IT teams.
-
Drive Research on Customer Needs and Delighters
- Conduct user interviews, shadow workflows, and analyze pain points—not just gather feature requests. Investigate what would delight customers and differentiate our solution.
- Document real problems, hypotheses, and opportunities before jumping into solutions.
- Study competitive tools to identify patterns and opportunities to differentiate.
-
Build Fast, Learn Faster
- Ship in short cycles: MVPs in weeks, not months. Validate ideas with quick wireframes, prototypes, AI reviews, and early customer feedback.
- Collaborate with engineering to experiment, refine, and iterate without losing quality. Monitor product usage, metrics, and customer feedback to guide refinements.
-
Drive Clarity & Alignment
- Maintain clear product briefs, tickets, and success metrics for your features.
- Communicate decisions, trade-offs, scope, and timelines to team and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2-4 years of PM experience including in Business SaaS, technical platforms, or workflow-driven products
- Solution Thinking: Ability to translate ambiguous problems into well structured workflows, solutions, and shipped features.
- Solution Quality: Strong attention to detail, workflow logic, edge cases, and customer feedback.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with APIs, data models, systems design, and workflows/automations.
- Mindset: Bias toward action, thrives in ambiguity, loves technology, owns the outcome, hungry to learn
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills
- Degree in Computer Science, AI, IT, or related technical field
- Not required but is a plus: Experience with IT Solutions (ITAM, Patch, Security, CMDB, ITSM), Automations, AI/Copilot workflows, or fast-paced work environments
